A prep table that drifts above 41°F in the middle of a dinner rush puts both the food and your next inspection at risk. Best Pro repairs commercial refrigerators for restaurants, cafés, bars, breweries, convenience stores and markets across Colorado Springs — downtown, in Old Colorado City, along Academy and Powers boulevards — and in Monument, with same-day service for most calls.
Equipment we service
- Reach-in refrigerators with one, two or three doors
- Sandwich and pizza prep tables, undercounter and worktop units
- Display cases and glass-door merchandisers
- Bar coolers and back-bar refrigerators
Walk-in boxes have their own pages: walk-in cooler repair and walk-in freezer repair. Reach-in and display freezers are under commercial freezer repair.
Why units run warm here
- Thin air and hot kitchens. At 6,000 feet the air is thinner and carries away less heat, so an air-cooled condenser has less margin than the same unit at sea level. A coil that would be “a bit dusty” elsewhere can push a prep table next to the fryers over 41°F on a July afternoon. Clean coils matter more here.
- Grease and dust on the coil. Kitchen grease mixed with dry, dusty air bakes onto condenser coils. We clean the coil properly instead of just brushing the face.
- Door gaskets. Doors that open a few hundred times a shift tear gaskets and sag hinges, and every gap lets warm, moist air in — iced coils and water on the floor usually start there.
- Summer season. When visitors heading to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods fill the restaurants, equipment runs flat out with the doors open. Spring maintenance is cheaper than a July breakdown.
How we work
The technician checks the whole system — condenser coil and fan, compressor, evaporator, defrost, controller and gaskets — measures product temperature with a probe and fixes the cause instead of resetting the unit. El Paso County Public Health inspectors check that cold-held food stays at 41°F or below, and we make sure your unit holds it again before we leave.
You get the price before any work starts and a 6-month warranty on parts and labor. We also do scheduled maintenance — coil cleaning, gasket, drain and control checks — so units don’t fail mid-shift. Call us or book online.
Common problems we fix
- Not holding temperature
- Compressor running constantly or not starting
- Iced-up evaporator coil
- Water leaking inside or under the unit
- Door gasket torn or not sealing
- Noisy condenser or evaporator fan
- Temperature display or controller errors
